Ages: 8th grade - Adult

Class includes basic ballet and jazz technique to help a dancer develop
their skills.   Very appropriate for the non-dancer, actors, singers and
anyone who just loves musical theater.  Part of each class is given over to
repertory.  Students will be  introduced to the various styles of a range of
choreographers: Bob Fosse, Agnes DeMille, Jerome Robbins, Michael Kidd,

 I hope you are having a great start to your school year!

A show will be picked soon that will have auditions in October or November.
The production dates will be February 18 - 28, 2010.  I'll also be looking
at some of these titles for production next summer. Next summer's shows will
likely be two musicals - one for 4-8th grade, and one for 7th grade -
college.

Let me know your thoughts about the titles (alphabetical order) below by
rating them in order of preference 1 - 5 (or 6 or 7 or 8, etc.) with 1 being
your top choice, and please do add comments. AND if you have other
suggestions feel free to pass them along!

Great Lakes Theater Festival
Seeks Children for A Christmas Carol
The auditions, scheduled for September 25th, are by appointment only.

(Cleveland, OH) - Great Lakes Theater Festival (GLTF) is seeking child
actors of all cultures and backgrounds, ages seven to thirteen, for
their annual production of A Christmas Carol.  Rehearsals begin November
17th, with performance dates scheduled from December 1st  through
December 23rd. Children auditioning for A Christmas Carol may not be
fourteen years of age until December 24, 2009 or later.

Auditions will be held on Friday September 25th, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00
p.m. at PlayhouseSquare.  Auditions are by appointment only. To arrange
an appointment time, leave a message on the Great Lakes Theater Festival
audition hotline at (216) 453-4451 by no later than 5:00 p.m. on

Hathaway Brown still has a couple of male roles available for singers in the
production of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND.  The show plays Nov. 13 and 14.  It's a

This high-energy show follows the lives of thirteen 13 year olds as they
navigate their way through friendships, love, popularity, honesty, and
growing-up. This was the first show in Broadway history to have an entirely

We are looking for 13 of Cleveland's most talented teenage performers (7
boys, 6 girls) to create the Ohio premiere cast. Please note: All performers
should be able to realistically play 13 years of age. Not sure that this
fits you? Come audition anyway!! Don't count yourself out! Also, please know
that we will be double-casting some of the roles.

Here's the information about auditions:

** Auditions will be held on November 10 & 12 from 6:30-8:30pm @ Mayfield
Village Civic Center, 6622 Wilson Mills Rds., Mayfield Village (corner of
Wilson Mills Rd. and SOM Center Rd.). Auditions will be by appointment. Just
call the Fairmount Center beginning October 1st (440-338-3171) to schedule
your time slot.

** Please prepare 32-bars of an uptempo pop/rock song that shows range (this
does not have to be from a musical). Provide sheet music in the correct key.
An accompanist will be provided. No acapella auditions.

** Bring comfortable clothes to move in as you may be asked to stay and
dance.

** Please bring a headshot (or recent photo) and resume stapled together.

** Callbacks will be held on Nov. 14th from 3:00-6:00pm. We may also have
callbacks on Nov. 15th from 3:00-6:00pm, but this is not solidified yet.

The production will begin rehearsal on Saturday, January 16th. Rehearsals
will be Tuesdays-Sundays. Weekday rehearsals will be 5:30-9:00pm, Saturdays
and Sundays will be 3 to 4 hour afternoon rehearsals (times TBD).

There will be a tuition fee to participate in this production. More
information about the tuition will be available at auditions.

The production will open Feb 18th and close on Feb 28th (10 performances
total). The performance schedule will be:

<br>We are looking for 13 of Cleveland&#39;s most talented teenage performe=
rs (7 boys, 6 girls) to create the Ohio premiere cast. Please note: All per=
formers should be able to realistically play 13 years of age. Not sure that=
 this fits you? Come audition anyway!! Don&#39;t count yourself out! Also, =
please know that we will be double-casting some of the roles.<br>


<br>Here&#39;s the information about auditions:<br><br>** Auditions will be=
 held on November 10 &amp; 12 from 6:30-8:30pm @ Mayfield Village Civic Cen=
ter, 6622 Wilson Mills Rds., Mayfield Village (corner of Wilson Mills Rd. a=
nd SOM Center Rd.). Auditions will be by appointment. Just call the Fairmou=
nt Center beginning October 1st (440-338-3171) to schedule your time slot.<=
br>


<br>** Please prepare 32-bars of an uptempo pop/rock song that shows range =
(this does not have to be from a musical). Provide sheet music in the corre=
ct key. An accompanist will be provided. No acapella auditions.<br><br>


** Bring comfortable clothes to move in as you may be asked to stay and dan=
ce.<br><br>** Please bring a headshot (or recent photo) and resume stapled =
together.<br><br>** Callbacks will be held on Nov. 14th from 3:00-6:00pm. W=
e may also have callbacks on Nov. 15th from 3:00-6:00pm, but this is not so=
lidified yet.=A0<br>


<br>The production will begin rehearsal on Saturday, January 16th. Rehearsa=
ls will be Tuesdays-Sundays. Weekday rehearsals will be 5:30-9:00pm, Saturd=
ays and Sundays will be 3 to 4 hour afternoon rehearsals (times TBD).<br>


<br>There will be a tuition fee to participate in this production. More inf=
ormation about the tuition will be available at auditions.<br><br>The produ=
ction will open Feb 18th and close on Feb 28th (10 performances total). The=
