Playwriting Competition =8B A Shayna Maidel by Barbara Lebow =8B returns in=20=

production directed by Fred Sternfeld and presented in association with
Tri-C Eastern Campus Theatre Arts.

Literally translated as =B3a pretty girl,=B2 A Shayna Maidel conveys the
aftermath of the Holocaust through a poignant, imaginatively conceived
examination of one divided family's experience. Two sisters separated in
childhood=8Bone raised in America, the other in Poland=8Bare reunited in New
York City in 1946 in the wake of World War II and the Holocaust. After a
15-year separation and the loss of most family members, they are nearly
strangers and struggle to reconnect.

America's leading regional theatres and went on to become a long-running
Off-Broadway success. It was also adapted into a Hallmark Hall of Fame
